Request a Hearing

You may Request a Hearing by E-mail on your Civil Infraction Offense:

• You may Deny Responsibility and request an INFORMAL Hearing before a Magistrate by emailing the Court designated on the front of your citation
  • For the Monroe Court location traffic_monroe@monroemi.org   or         
  • For the Erie Court location traffic_erie@monroemi.org
• Your request Must be made within twenty (20) Business days from the date of the offense
• You must include your current address and a daytime telephone number in your email
• The Court will then mail you a Notice to Appear for your Informal Hearing

                                                       OR

•  You may Deny Responsibility and request an FORMAL Hearing before a Judge by emailing the Court designated on the front of your citation
  •  For the Monroe Court location traffic_monroe@monroemi.org
  •  For the Erie Court location traffic_erie@monroemi.org
• Your request Must be made within twenty (20) Business days from the date of the offense
• You must include your current address and a daytime telephone number in your email

The Court will then mail you a Notice to Appear for your Formal Hearing
