The Monroe County Commission on Aging Office helps to provide services to the senior
population in Monroe County. This office serves as a funding source for programs such
as delivered meals, personal care, respite, recreation, chore, homemaking and prescription
services just to name a few.

The Monroe County Commission on Aging Office Mission Statement: The Monroe County
Commission on
Aging is an advocacy body charged with recommending the prudent spending
of public dollars to promote the health, dignity and independence of older adults. The greatest
benefit will go to those most in need. The most Frail will receive the highest priority.

The Monroe County Commission on Aging Vision Statement: The Monroe County Commission
on Aging will be the lead agency in Monroe County providing funding, advocacy, forethought and
assistance for older adults and their families to promote independence and enhance their quality
of life.

The Monroe County Commission on Aging can only accomplish that vision if we work in a way that
reflects the following core values:

The Monroe County Commission on Aging Meetings are open to the public and begin at 1:00 p.m.
on the second Wednesday of the month unless otherwise noted. Additional, meetings, such as board
or committee meetings are scheduled as needed.
