Skywarn Registration

The Monroe County Emergency Management Division offers Skywarn Spotter training free of charge to anyone 18 years of age or older who is interested in being trained in severe weather identification, protection, and reporting procedures. The course is about 3 hours long, and identification codes are issued to all who complete the program.

The date & time of our 2011 Skywarn Spotter training will be announced soon! 

Skywarn Spotters are welcome and encouraged to attend class every year, but are not required to do so. Monroe County has adopted a two year training cycle, and your Skywarn Spotter identification number is valid for two years from date of issue.
