SEPTEMBER The Trading Post & Country Store remain open on Fridays & Saturdays this month
2nd: Historical Commission meeting, 7 p.m. Use back entrance to museum.
7th: All Museum sites closed for Labor Day holiday.
17th: "Thirdsday" program: Food Preservation, 7 p.m. highlighting historic preservation techniques.
26th- October 3rd: Special events for French Canadian Heritage Week; watch for announcements.
26th: This Old Maison- learn French Canadian building techniques & styles at Hellenberg Park in Monroe (hours later).
30th: Trois Buffons- an evening of French Canadian music and storytelling (remember them from last year?!) 7 p.m. A great family event from talented musicians!
1st: Lantern Tour tickets go on sale at the main museum. Watch for beginning time.
3rd: The Hunt for Loup Garou at the Trading Post site, 1 and 3 p.m. Registration required; group space limited; free. Watch for registration time.
10th: Digging History at the Trading Post site, 12 to 4 p.m. Hands-on activities for Archaeology month; free.
15th: "Thirdsday" Pogram: Archaeology in Monroe o, 7 p.m. Special display of museum artifacts with program.
16-17th: Lantern Tours; pre-paid tickets required. 7:30, 7:50, 8:10, or 8:30 start times.
23-24th: Lantern Tours; pre-paid tickets required. 7:30, 7:50, 8:10 or 8:30 start times.
