JULY Navarre-Anderson Trading Post & Martha Barker Country Store museum, North Custer Road, open Fridays and Saturdays, 12-5. Free. Nickel and dime candy for sale; look for special programs at the site.
1st: Historical Commission meeting, 7:00 p.m. use back entrance.
3-4th: Please note: all museum sites closed for the county & national holiday.
15th: Businesses & Buildings, East of Monroe Street: a program series in conjunction with the City of Monroe Park & Rec. 10:00 a.m. in the air-conditioned museum. Travel back in time, right in your chair with images; bring your own memories! Please call the City Park & Rec. dept. or the museum to register.
18th: Toledo War Day at the Trading Post, with military drill, surveying and more. 12-4 p.m. Free.
24th: Foodways Fridays at the Trading Post, 12-4 during open hours. Free.
25th: Picnic at the Park, 12-2 p.m. bring your blanket and food and then play games at the Trading Post.
No Historical Commission meeting.
14th: Spirit of '45 at Loranger Square, marking the end of WWII with an evening og big band and swing music, dancing, costumes and more! Free, 5- 10 p.m.
19th: Businesses & Buildings, West of Monroe Street: a program series in conjunction with the City of Monroe Park & Rec. 10:00 a.m. in the air-conditioned museum. Travel back in time, right in your chair with images; bring your own memories! Please call the City Rec dept. or the museum to register.
20th: "Thirdsday" program restart- Remember the Monster! It's the 50th anniversary of the sighting of the Monroe Monster. Remember with us, or learn something anew about Monroe! 7 p.m. Free.
21st: Foodways Fridays at the Trading Post (River Raisin Territorial Park) 12-4. Cooking with a Dutch oven.
