Monroe County Historical Museum's 2016 Calendar of Events

 FEBRUARY

11th: County Bicentennial Steering Committee meeting, 7 p.m. use back entrance.

15th: Closed for the Presidents' Day holiday.

17th: Rescheduled Historical Commission meeting, 7 p.m. use back entrance.

Currently on exhibit: "Spring Holiday Greetings" with specialty greeting cards, and "The Art of the Hunt- Waterfowling on the Lake" on the art & use of duck decoys.

 

MARCH

2nd: Historical Commission meeting, 7:00 p.m. use back door entrance to museum

3rd: MCES St. Mary's 5th grade students present a "Living Museum," with  a variety of historical personnas from 6-7 p.m.- open to the public.

19th: Maple Syrup Day at the River Raisin Territorial Park (Navarre-Anderson Trading Post complex), 1-4:00 p.m. For weather and site updates, call the museum 734 240 7780.

25th: Good Friday holiday, closed.

27th: Closed for Easter Sunday.

31st: Staff member author/illustrator Gerry Wykes is publishing a young readers book: "A Beaver Tale", and will give a program and book signing at 7 p.m. The book should be about $20.
