Monroe County Historical Museum's 2014 Calendar of Events

PLEASE NOTE: There is extended construction on Monroe Street- please allow enough time to reach us for your tour, or be aware of detours or parking variations (it's almost complete by us!)
AUGUST: Open 6 days a week, 11-5; Sunday 12-5; open late on Thursdays to 7:00 p.m.
15-16th: Country Store & Trading Post open, 12- 5:00 p.m.
21st: Thirdsday movie showing of "The General" a Civil War feature with love, courage and a great train robbery with Buster Keaton, 7:00 p.m. runs 107 minutes.
22-23rd: Country Store & Trading Post open, 12- 5:00 p.m.
25th: Blacktopping of parking lot. Sorry for any inconvenience. Museum open.
29-30th: Country Store & Trading Post open, 12- 5:00 p.m. (last date open for the summer!)
SEPTEMBER: Open 6 days a week, 11-5; on Sunday 12-5; open late on Thursdays to 7:00 p.m.
1st: All sites closed for Labor Day.
3rd: Historical Commission meeting, 7:00 p.m. use back entrance
18th: Thirdsday event: End of the Summer Concert at the Navarre-Anderson Trading Post, 7:00 p.m. Music by the Dodworth Duo- bring a chair or blanket for seating! (In case of inclement weather, the venue will move to the main museum).
