CPL holders have the following duties when carrying a concealed pistol: 

  • Must posses concealed pistol license
  • Must immediately disclose you are carrying a concealed pistol on your person or vehicle when stopped by a police officer
  • Must show concealed pistol license to officer upon request
  • Must show drivers license or Michigan personal identification to officer upon request
  • Must not have consumed any alcohol or controlled substance

If bodily alcohol content .10 or more then misdemeanor offense punishable by up to 93 days in jail, $100 fine and permanent revocation of license. If bodily alcohol content .08 or .09 then misdemeanor offense punishable by up to 93 days in jail, $100 fine and revocation of license for up to 3 years. If bodily alcohol content .02 or more but less than .08 then civil infraction punishable by fine up to $100 and revocation of license for up to 1 year.

  • Must abide by all laws governing possession, transportation and use of firearms
