The Environmental Health Division provides the citizens of Monroe County quality service, protection, and preservation of the environment through the oversight of onsite sewage, drinking water, food service and various recreational programs. Additional programs administered by the Environmental Health Division include lead monitoring in cases where children have elevated blood lead levels, radon monitoring, child day care and foster home inspections.
