The nation's economic health depends on trucking and other transport. US intelligence sources tell us that this industry remains a terrorist target. Michigan has three major border crossings into Canada, including the single busiest truck crossing in North America, the Ambassador Bridge. In addition, Michigan is the hub of Great Lakes shipping. For 2005, Michigan received over $2 million to increase security at our borders. What can transport professionals do to enhance our security?
