Do your members have any special skills that could be of use to the community?

  • Do you have members with health-related skills, such as doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, EMTs, or pharmacists? Do any members speak foreign languages to help communicate with non-English speakers in the community? Do any members have training in counseling, childcare, or first-aid, or any other useful skills?
  • The Monroe County Health Department/Emergency Preparedness Division would appreciate a list of people with such useful skills (with their contact information). You can reach us by phone at (734) 240-7874 or by e-mail at tatyana_ivanova@monroemi.org.
  • Be sure that your members agree to have their name and information distributed! 

Do you have facilities or equipment that could be of use to the community?

  • Do you have a large space that could be turned into a shelter or a medical care facility? Do you have cots, blankets, cooking supplies or equipment, stored water, cars, trucks or other forms of transportation, construction equipment, a supply of batteries, walkie-talkies, CB radios, etc?
  • If you are a local branch of a larger organization, are you authorized to provide facilities, supplies, equipment, or aid to your community?
  • The Monroe County Health Department/Emergency Preparedness Division would appreciate an inventory of useful facilities and supplies as well as the name and contact information of the individual(s) who have access to them and can operate them.
