Area Agency on Aging 1-B/Care Management/Community Living Program provides unbiased information on local services and resources for older adults, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers who have programs to help older adults remain living in the community, and can assist with understanding Medicare benefits. Monroe County Opportunity Program

Monroe County Opportunity Program offers the following:

• Home Care Program assists Monroe County seniors with homemaking, personal care, shopping, meal planning and/or preparation, and respite care for family caregivers.
• Home Chore Services assists Monroe County seniors aged 60 and up with home maintenance tasks to improve safety inside and outside of the home including snow removal and lawn care.
• Home Injury Control program includes bathroom chairs, grab bars, etc.
• Unmet Emergency Needs and Utility Assistance offers assistance with electric, gas, and deliverable fuels such as propane. Each utility has its own income limitations.
