Programs, Budget & Statistical Summary

The Monroe County Office of Community Corrections (MCOCC) utilizes PA 511 grant funding to promote community-based sanctions as sentencing options in lieu of prison and/or jail and expands jail diversion to improve jail utilization. The programs listed on this page receive all or partial PA 511 funding through the State of Michigan Community Corrections Grant which assists in this goal.

The State Office of Community Corrections (OCC) also funds residential beds in lieu of jail for felony offenders through a direct contract with Probation Residential Service providers throughout the State of Michigan. Monroe County receives jail reimbursement funding for housing eligible felons in the county jail, instead of prison. This program is called the County Jail Reimbursement Program (CJRP).
