Program Overview
The Sex Offender Treatment program is held in the Monroe County Jail Facility and includes an assessment to evaluate the appropriateness for the program, group sessions, individual sessions (if needed), and a client aftercare treatment plan. The program is 12 weeks long and meets for 90 minutes per week. The group examines the cycles of abuse, relapse prevention, and victim empathy.

Trillium Counseling Services facilitates this program. Treatment is available in the community.
Eligibility Criteria
- Felon or high-risk misdemeanant who has a sexual assault history
- Must score moderate to high on the risk scales or moderate to high on a minimum of two needs scales, including; criminal thinking, criminal personality, criminal involvement, and/or substance abuse (COMPAS Assessment)
- VASOR: score a 5 or greater on the Re-offense Risk Scale
- The participant's mental state can not preclude the ability to comprehend the material and information presented to participate in the treatment program
- The participant can not be actively psychotic or exhibit psychiatric symptoms that require specific interventions, not available in this program
- The participant can not be combative or of physical danger to him/herself or to the staff
