Monroe county parks are now open. Adhere to the social distancing and all other guidelines per executive orders.

Use this telephone number to report any hazards, potential hazards or unsafe conditions at any County of Monroe Park. Its easy:

  1. Call the telephone number
  2. State the condition you found at the park
  3. Describe the location within the park where the condition exits
  4. State the name of the park where the condition exists

Help us keep our parks safe for everyone by reporting problems so we may correct them. And thank you for your interest and support of the Monroe County Park System.

The County's parks are open to the public from April through October. We start taking reservations for parks on March 1st. It is on a first come first serve basis. A fee of $30 is required to reserve a pavilion and you will receive a permit for that pavilion. You may make your reservation online by going to the Online Services page.

Now available to rent is the Loranger Square Pavilion in downtown Monroe.

Sterling State Park

Sterling State Park is also located in Monroe County at 2800 State Park off of Dixie Highway in Frenchtown Township. The park is maintained by the State. For more information you may call 734-289-2715 or visit the Sterling State Park website.
