Electronics Recycling

The Recycling and Green Community Program in partnership with the Habitat for Humanity Restore offer free recycling of electronics on an ongoing basis. The Restore will accept computer systems, monitors, central processing units (CPUs), printers, keyboards, peripherals, laptops, and televisions. The Habitat for Humanity Restore is located at 840 LaPlaisance Road in Monroe. They will accept materials from 10 am until 5 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, they are closed on Sunday and Monday. New Drop-off Location

Bedford Township Hall located at 8100 Jackman Road, Temperance, MI 48182, now has electronics recycling drop off smaller items. Microwave ovens and other electronic waste items that are too big for the Recycle IT bin opening at the Bedford Township Hall and can be dropped off at the ReStore or just a few miles away at:

Acceptable Items

Anything that plugs into your home electrical outlet. Accepted items at this location are as follows:

  • Alkaline and rechargeable batteries (batteries must be sealed in Ziploc bag)
  • CDs and DVDs
  • Cell and landline phones
  • Cell phone chargers
  • Christmas lights
  • Computers, laptops, tablets, and peripherals
  • Extension cords and charger cords
  • Flat screen monitors
  • Hard drives (hard drives destroyed)
  • iPads and iPods
  • Printers and copiers
  • Radios and stereos
  • Small bathroom and kitchen electric appliances (i.e. hairdryers, toasters, etc.)
  • Video games and consoles

Please note: No televisions are accepted. No cassette or VHS tapes.
