The Monroe County Sheriff's Office - Investigative Services Division is the criminal investigation branch of the department. The Investigative Services Division is committed to the highest standards of proactive crime solving, criminal apprehension, and the successful prosecution of those crimes committed in Monroe County.
To accomplish these standards, Sherrif Goodnough selects and trains the most motivated and skillful of individuals. Competent investigators are required to understand complex laws, police procedures, interrogation techniques, evidence collection, and crime scene processing.
The units are also cross-trained, which enables them to play a support role for each other as well as other law enforcement agencies. The Units and Task Forces within Investigative Services regularly assist agencies throughout the County, State, and Nation.
