PROBATION RESIDENTIAL SERVICES - PRS
PRS provides a residential alternative for felony offenders and probation violators. The State of Michigan Office of Community Corrections (OCC) contracts directly with Probation Residential Service Providers throughout the State. Salvation Army Harbor Light offer one program in Monroe County, 30/60/90, intense residential treatment. Support services are funded for a maximum of 90 days.
30/60/90 - Residential Treatment
The 30/60/90 program is a residential alternative for felony offenders. The program provides intensive substance abuse treatment. It includes an individual treatment plan that diagnoses an offender's substance abuse dependency, treatment goals and the frequency and types of treatment services. Offenders attend supportive social services including group and individual sessions and weekly scheduled therapeutic activities such as; group counseling, education, social work and planned recreational activities. Offenders are required to attend two psycho-education group processing sessions each week and must participate in 6 hours of staff led or supervised therapeutic activity. Program length requires a minimum of 30 days stay but no more than 90 days. The program is administered by the Salvation Army Harbor Light at their residential facility on Monroe Street. There is a self-pay option at SAHL, $222.25 per week, the first week is due in advance. Level III parole violators are eligible for 30/60/90 with an Area Manager's approval.
- Felons must score moderate to high in overall risk scales or the substance abuse needs scale, when using a State approved actuarial objective, validated risk and needs assessment instrument.
- Offenders at Pretrial Status must have a bond condition ordering them into treatment to be eligible.
- No criminal record indicating a pattern of violent offenses or assaultive behavior (3 or more convictions for assault in the last 5 years) - County Policy.
- Offenders with a CSC 2nd and/or 4th conviction are considered on case by case basis by Agent, CC Probation Supervisor and Sentencing Judge.
